WILDLIFE WORLDWIDE CELEBRATES 21 YEARS

Orcas and Northern Lights (Iceland): Winter might not be an obvious time to visit Iceland, however between December and April, orcas arrive off the stunning Snaefellsnes Peninsula to feed on herring. On this short break, guests stay in the west coast fishing village of Grundarfjordur and enjoy boat trips to encounter the pods which frequent the bay, as well as a day trip to spot the Peninsula’s spectacular birdlife. What’s more, winter provides the best opportunity of catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Price: from £923 inc. international flights, transfers, 4 nights’ B&B accommodation and guided activities. Group departures: 1, 19, 23, 28 March 2013.
Classic Antarctica Fly-Sail: For those strapped for time, this new break makes it possible to visit Antarctica in just over a week. Focusing entirely on the splendours of the White Continent, board Ocean Nova for a 6-day voyage through the iceberg-filled fjords to see a whole host of seabirds, penguins, seals and whales. En route to latitude 65° South, visit Livingston Island, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island, Paradise Bay and Deception Islands. Enjoy daily landings, cruises in inflatable Zodiacs and a full programme of lectures. Price: from £7105 inc. flights from Punta Arenas to King George Island, transfers, 2 nights in Punta Arenas, and 5 nights on Ocean Nova with all meals, drinks, guided shore excursions and lectures. Excludes international flights. Departures weekly November – February.
Elephant Watch Camp, Kenya: Learn about elephants at close quarters on this specialist new safari. Based at a stylish eco camp in the Samburu National Park, participate in a programme of activities, including game drives, walking safaris and bush picnics, where the prime focus is learning about the prolific local elephant population. Accompanied by local Samburu naturalist guides, this offers a truly special experience. Price: £4,195 inc. international and domestic flights, transfers, 4 nights’ accommodation, most meals and guided activities. Flexible departures.
LOOKING AHEAD TO 2014…
Festival of Whales with Mark Carwardine: 2014 may sound a long way off but this special trip (two departures) has limited spaces and is already filling up. Join zoologist and TV presenter Mark Carwardine on a once-in-a-lifetime expedition to Baja, California to observe grey whales, regarded as the friendliest of all whales. Grey whales have been migrating to San Ignacio Lagoon for thousands of years in order to mate and calve in the warm, shallow waters, and this behaviour affords visitors the unique opportunity to witness these giants showing off their new born babies. Price: from £3,890 inc. international flights, transfers, full board accommodation (exc R/O in San Diego) and guided activities. Group departures: 20 & 26 Feb 2014.
**All prices are per person based on two sharing**
